Does anyone know how to upgrade the HD in a IBM THinkpad 750C? It has a 340MB drive and I want to install a larger one. Does anyone have the utility disk or know how to get to the BIOS settings?

Thanks

and you feel that questions such as yours would not be answered on the IBM thinkpad section dealing with your model?

please, before posting a request here. make the effort to at least check the vendor web site.

the ibm thinkpad site does go into detail on bios updates and surprise... also has directions on how to access the bios. and supported drives

as for larger drives, yes you can install up to a 2gig with problems. larger drives require you to either use several partitions (each under 2gig) or prep the drive with a under 528meg partition, boot with the floppy/cdrom using the drive makers drive setup program and allow it to prep the drive as one large partiotion

Wow, what jackass gave that snotty answer? "and you feel that questions such as yours would not be answered on the IBM thinkpad section dealing with your model?

I'll be sure to never use this site again.
