I dowloaded a Sony CRX140E driver, and I got the .sys file. Now what? Please help, and thank you for your time.

First when asking for help, please state what the problem is and what operating system your trying to use it in. Internal ide burners do not require drivers when used in Windows 95 up thru XP. All support for this type of drive is provided natively by the Windows os and by recording software.

The native support will allow the drive to be detected by the os during bootup and also will allow it to READ a data or music disk. To burn disks you must have recording software or an os with builtin recording support such as Windows XP.
