Is there a driver for this? where can I find one to down load? I get this eeror message from the device manager " Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)" also cant find my D drive

No drivers are required when using this drive in Windows XP. The os provides native support that allows it to read a data or music disk.

Try deleting the upper and lower filters in the registry. That should fix your non-detection problem.

The reboot the machine and check to see if the drive is not listed properly in Device Manager and My Computer.
