According to ASUS there is no AV7 board, there are A7V boards, with AMD processors and the Via chipset, you need to pin the model down as there are lots of versions. get Belarc Advisor ( free ) http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html from the report you should be able to get exact model of board and then go to ASUS to get the sound driver. The few boards I have looked at have the Via audio driver. Any problems just copy and paste the results from Belarc but not the Software license section.
