Hello, I am having problems with a pc restarting after running scandisk everytime in win2k...computer did have 98se,even with 98se it would restart after being on for a minute, I went ahead and put 2k just to rule out any software prob.....I have changed power supply,and memory, still same problem...checked all wiring, all looks good...

computer: gateway/will have to get exact model
processor: pIII 700mhz
20 gig hdd
now using win 2k/ had 98se
internal dial modem
128 mem.
power supply/ Ive tried 250w-300w-350w- 300w is what was original.
fans all seem to be working fine..
everything is plugged in correctly!



the actual light on the hdd comes on, it makes a little noise(engaging) then it shuts off?????????????

I know this is vague, so please ask any ?'s that will help you, to help me..I will be more than happy to give all info needed...
