i have just built a new system mobo cpu hdd off old setup, when i boot i get as far as ide detection and it just hangs plz help.

If the hard drive jumpers are set right and the cables are ok disconect the CDRom and reset the bios.

Auto dectect drives

Did you have an overlay on the hard drive in the old computer.

Was the drive formated
