i have laptop hp with hdd 40 gb mk4025gas i replaced the laptop hdd mk4025gas with another hdd 80 gb as master when iam trying to make the hdd mk4025gas slave the system cant see it ?

the hdd mk4025gas 40 gm which i ment is the laptop hdd i exchaned it with another one 80 gb and put the 80 in the laptop and connected the 40 with usb the proplem is the system see the 40 as usb device but cant complete installing it and say the there is problem while instaling it and in the computer manegment disk management there is only the 80 hdd

When you put the older 40 gb hard drive in the usb enclosure, how did you jumper the Master/Slave/CS jumper? It should be set to CS (Cable Select).
