ok seems that a lot of ppl r haveing problems with the newer SB live cards. ive got a 0220 5.1 digital and cant find the corect win98 se driver.

i have a retail cd but for some reason the win98 driver it installs is part of the win xp driver.

the card installs properly under xp. but it should install properly under 98 as well.

my chip is the emu10k1-jff and none of the 98 drivers here work with it. and dont bother getting the driver from ceatives site cause they dont even detect it. the new SB live 24 bit works good but its got a different chip on it. i think they ment it to replace the audigi. as for

a good SB live card thats not the new live 24bit try going for the 1st ever made, the 1s with the gold metal conections, they work. ever sence they started making cards in china, they dont work verry well. i know this still dont fix anybody driver problems but i thout everybody should know that SB cards have whent down hill.

it sad when my old SB 16pci,awe32isa,pci64 work

way better than a SB live. and i realy hate to say this but ive ran better onbord sound cards.

Realtek (http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloads1-3.aspx?keyword=ALC861)
only has data sheets on this device... no drivers.
Drivers are listed
HERE (http://soundcard.free-driver-download.com/RealTek/17399/Realtek-ALC-ALC880-ALC260-ALC861-HD-Audio-CODECs-Driver-R1.09-Windows-2000-XP.html)
but all I got was about 3-4 popups. I stopped there.
