How can i find the brand of my sound card in my PC.....I need to know the name and brand in order to isntall it but i just can't seem to find it. I know there's one because it use to work fine brfore my friend formated my PC....Help please!!!

Only YOU can determine that information.
Method #1: For integrated sound chipsets, eg: built onto the motherboard, you must determine what brand and model your motherboard is. And include the bios id string found on the lower left of your screen during bootup.
Repost with this information and we can help you. Or visit the motherboard manufacturer's website, locate the motherboard drivers section, select the motherboard model and choose the matching sound driver from the list.

Method #2: If you have a sound card instead of a sound chipset, then remove the pc cover and the sound card and examine it for brand, model, fcc id #, chipset number, etc. Then repost with the information you found on it.

here's what i've read on my PC.:8363 686a gaglmj19c-00 It is supposed to tell you something about my sound card. The problem is this. it will play ÃÂ* cd , but if i download ÃÂ* song, or try to talk throu msn audio conversation, it says that there is no sound card device and that i can't accept the call...! If you can help me with it, i would be very happy!
