: I have found plenty of drivers for this sound card but none that use the SPDIF out, which is the reason I bought the card. All the drivers Ive downloaded distictly say CMI8738 WITHOUT SPDIF. Mine has a SPDIF RCA out that i am finding impossible to utilise which is a shame because the cards analogue sound is pretty average. Please please help.

I've finally figured out what sound card it is that I have, and still no driver. I have a 3D Labs 94VO with a CMI8738 chipset and SPDIF out. There is a driver for it on this website that is actually an uninstaller for a yamaha soundcard and actually uninstalled my motherboard sound driver, forcing me to do a system restore to recover it. I am running XP so I am not sure I can get a driver for this card that is compatable. 3D Labs only list their new drivers on their website. Please help.
