: sound is integrated on my DFI motherboard. I tried loading driver but got error "load microsoft bus driver be loading driver". I'm running XP pro with SP2. REALTEK has been no help.

Need to know what DFI board you have, it has a intergrated sound chip on the motherboard and you will have to go to DFI to download the drivers most likely!

thankyou for that Jerry K but my soundcard is not onboard sound, the drivers specified within the link you gave me were for onboard soundcards, not PCI.

and I suppose you've tested all 50 drivers and none of them work? I checked #1,3,4,5 and there's no indication their for on-board sound. Where did you get info that all 50 drivers are for on-board sound?
