Bradley 01-29-2006, 09:59 PM I bought a PC at Christmas, which has onboard sound, which the sound worked on when i bought it, but i recently reformatted and installed a Newer OS... and now the sound doesn't work, so im assuming its the drivers, I have a Jetway Motherboard, and on the side of the 'casing' that the sound sockets come out of, it says "Kortak", ive tried searching for drivers but i JUST can't find any!... i downloaded one that driverguide toolkit recommended, but it turned out that even though it said something about high precision audio, it was graphics drivers?! :S....
also jsut incase it helps... i tried updating the drivers for a sound device, and used "envy24hf" ... and when it asked me to locate the .sys file i did so, and then my computer gave a stop error / BSOD...
Hope you can help me with this :)! Thanks in advance.

The correct place to get support for a pc is the pc manufacturer or vendor. In some cases the motherboard manufacturer might work but I wouldn't bet on it. Visit the website of your pc manufacturer first.
