Crimson 03-18-2004, 02:03 PM is dos compatible with a usb port? Felix 03-18-2004, 05:33 PM Sorry - DOS does not naturally support USB. Even Win95 doesn't do the job properly. Your only hope is that whoever designed the piece of USB hardware you want to use also wrote a DOS driver for it. This is highly unlikely and I doubt whether even Driverguide will be able to help. ben de Wit 03-29-2005, 04:19 PM I was also searching internet with "dos driver usb" for USB drivers and found at least solutions for CDrom/HD and other storage devices with drivers for config.sys and autoexec.bat I did not yet test the solutions but they look promising success, ben driver1 04-03-2005, 01:10 AM I am looking for a solution to make a LOGITECH cordless mouse work under DOS. The mouse I have (Model Number M-RN67 made in Hungary) connects through USB port. I have read in the Internet something about a driver called HIDUSB.SYS (http://www.freedos.org/freedos/news/technote/179.html), but it didn't work for me and my PC just hangs when I boot from a floppy disk. |
