Here is the problem. I have a maxtor 40 gig harddrive. I installed 98se to xp home (upgrade). I reinstalled xp no problems. Now the problem. I went to format c: (the harddrive was one big harddrive of 40 gig, no problems) now it formats as 2 harddrives. 1 as c drive 2gig Harddrive now and the rest of the harddrive as 36 gig. I dont know what xp did but i had to buy a new harddrive to replace this one. I went to repartition the harddrive but sets up 1 partaion as a 2 gig and another as 36. I got the harddrive fixed. I used maxtor blast 3 to fix the problem. Thank you for anyone that came across this posting.
