not sure what interface type that i have it is connected right to the computer hard drive i think I need the driver for this scanner and need to know if i have list it as new hardware after i put the drivers in am not sure as i do not have a disc and have never done this before I would appreciate any help that you can give me on setting this up.

Parallel port scanners do not connect directly to the hard drive....they connect directly to the parallel port on the back of your pc.
