I cannot find a download of the new driver. I believe it is v 7.1.9 that I need. If you can help it would be greatly appreciated.

HP doesn't post this driver for free downloading. You can order the cd containing Mac OSX drivers for shipping and handling charges only. Usually less than 15.00.
