Music Quest was bought out by Opcode who in turn was bought out by CBS who does not support the 8PortSE. The latest available and final release of the patches was 1.62.
You can get the 8port to work with the 1.62 driver by turning off LPT IRQ sharing in the properties of the SB16 Emulation driver.

It's gonna cost ya. I would get a better sound card/I/O first but that's just me.....

Yea Jerry K.,its really a midi interface driver..I've seen a Windows 2000 driver for it once on Driverguide,went back for it but it was gone,didn't realize W2k and XP were really the same. I'll try the links you provided see what I can find. Running a Studio...XP kicked out all 8portSE midi drivers when I upgraded from 98SE.It is an older unit ,but midi protcool hasn't changed

since. I check back soon...Thanks.George
