I downloaded driver Cm18330 thatDevice manager says

is needed. It unzipped as shell32. Is this correct?
How do I get these drivers to install?

I also downloaded whatI believe to be the correct USB driver. I'm having trouble getting that to work also
I can't seem to find my installation disk and without opening the case, I dont know what model I have.
I guess at 72 I'd be considered an "older" gentleman on a young persons journey

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Lou

"I downloaded driver Cm18330 thatDevice manager says is needed. It unzipped as shell32. Is this correct?"

Don't know as you didn't state what driver or where you got it.
"How do I get these drivers to install?"

Again, what drivers?
"I also downloaded what I believe to be the correct USB driver."

and what driver would that be?
remember what you get back is dependant on what you input. You didn't basically tell us anything useful.
and it's cmi8330 (not cm18330)

CMI drivers can be found on the C-Media Inc. website (http://www.cmedia.com.tw/e_download_01.htm)
