I have an iMedia SL (model 5093), and have just formatted the hard drive after a virus and adware problems.

I have installed Windows 98 (replacing XP - I don't have the XP disk), and have managed to find, download and install all of the hardware drivers except for:
PCI Ethernet Controller

PCI Audio Device

PCI Universal Serial Bus
The problem is that the only drivers that I can find on the Packard Bell site are for Windows XP and ME!



Does anyone know where I could find the drivers for these for Win98??

Most likely none exist (or you would be able to find them. It's not uncommmon for systems shipped with a certain os on them from the factory to not have older os drivers available. Another good indicator is if Packard Bell doesn't have them, then who do you suppose might? No one. Nobody is going to support Packard Bell products except Packard Bell. I suggest you reinstall the same os that was on the system originally and you won't have so many problems.

I kinda realised as much, although I thought I'd ask on the off chance. Thanks for your comment!

I don't have the original OS and the support CD-ROM's don't have a recovery feature so it looks like I'm stuck without sound.

*shrugs* Ah well..
