HARD DRIVE PROBLEMS
03-05-2004, 03:48 PM
I Have Several Hard Drives That When I Try To Reset Up Windows Say There Is Compression On The Drives And To Remove The Compression. I Have Tried To Wipe The Drives With Kill Disk And Have Also Tried To Decompress By Adding Them To A Working System Using Drive Space. Nothing Seems To Work. Does Anyone Know How I Can Save These Drives To Get Them Working?

Four places down this forum you will find a request by "Wild Driver" for help with a disk problem. My suggestion for him/her should work for you too. Contrary to the original text, there is no need to use FDISK first. Just dive straight in with the machine code and wipe those disks clean. You only need FDISK and FORMAT afterwards. If you need any more details drop me an e-mail to felix.ne14ap@btopenworld.com.
