Hello I tried to install the driver from HP site but it gives the message that is not compatible with MS DOS! I dont know what that means I have a windows 2000 that is all I know.

Since you failed to state what driver your attempting to use, all I can suggest is to go to the HP website (link below) and get the driver for Windows 2000.
