A scsi based tape backup device requires 2 things:
1: A scsi driver to enable the system to see the scsi device, eg: when the scsi card driver is installed and working (it will appear in Device Manager) and...
2: Tape backup software that includes support for the particular backup drive used.
And they must be installed in that order... scsi card drive first, then backup software.
The most common tape backup programs are "Stomp Backup My PC", Veritas software (both desktop and server versions), Cheyenne Software Arcserv.... (to name a few) and may include Colorado Backup II from HP for some drives.
