Hi! Iīve bought a USB hub with 4 ports. When i try to install it my computer tells me that i havenīt installed any drivers for it. So when i try to it tells me that install failed. Why do I need drivers! Itīs USB!
Iīve opened the thing, and it doesnīt tell me anything!

USB hubs do not require drivers. A hub will be recognized automatically by Windows 2000 if it's connected to a working usb port. Make sure your usb port is working properly (in device manager) :)

Try connecting into other USB port if there is more than one. It appears that where there is more than one port they are daisy chained. You cannot have an unpowered port or hub before the end of the chain. So your hub has to be in the first port whichever that may be. Also use the cable from the hub to the computer without an extension.
