HI, after i reformated the computer, the onboard network adapter is comming up as unknown in device manager, i have tried looking for it on compaqs website but its not comming up.

on the HP website, this pc has an Intel NIC chipset. It doesn't say which one however. Open your pc, examine the NIC chipset, note it's number, then visit the

to see if a driver is posted.
