Hi all,
I have a Acer tavelmate 260 that wont boot past the Microsoft Windows 98 screen. It just sits on this screen , then after a while a message appears.

c:\>c:\window\netstart
Invalid value for binding specified
Invalid value for binding specified

Error loading device driver NDISHLP.SYS

Error 7323: One or more network transport drivers failed to load.

Anyone know what this problem is and how to fix it.

cheers

This is caused when you have the DOS drivers attempting to load the network at boot up. You also probably have a yellow exclamaiton mark on the Existing NDIS driver under Network Adapters in the System Properties Sheet. You are probably safe to remove it if your machine is not attached to an Ethernet LAN.
Boot into safe mode useing the F8 key!
Removing the "Existing NDIS2 Driver"
Double-click on the "My Computer" icon on your desktop.
Double-click on the "Control Panels" icon.
Double-click on the "Network" control panel.
Click on the "Configuration" tab. Then select "Existing NDIS2 Driver." (You may need to scroll down to see it.)
Click on the "Remove" button.
Click on the "OK" button at the bottom of the Network control panel. A "System Settings Change" box may appear, containing the text: "You must restart your computer before the new settings will take effect. Do you want to restart your computer now?" Click on the "Yes" button. If you do not see this message, restart your computer.
