I came across an old Quantum Hardcard EZ model ISA hardrive for an older IBM XT computer running under DOS.
The unit came "as-is" (dust and all) and is physically sound. But it never came with any documentation or discs, floppy or otherwise.
Quantum says Maxtor handles all their hardrive DB now, and I was surprised that Maxtor has .pdf files of the hardcard, complete with jumper/dip switch settings and the NAME of the driver: ATDOSHC.SYS. Just no software dowload support for it. Maxtor rep says that would be included in the system's OS software. Maybe mine is too old...
Anyway, you either have it or you don't.
Thanks for looking!
