I need drivers to support this device. The unit is approx 4 years old.
If I remember correctly, the unit included drivers and a utility program which was used to perform partitioning and maintenance on the unit.
Unfortunately, Smart Storage Solutions in no longer in business.

you will need to open up the device and note what/which chipset/numbers are used on the unit to attempt to locate a driver. note also that once a driver is aquired a Backup application must still be Aquired/purchased.

SUCCESS!!!!
After doing a more through search on of your driver archivers, I download the onide2.zip

driver by OnSpec (uploaded by Seth B, whom I thank VERY MUCH), and to my delight and surprise, it was the original driver and utility package that came with the Smart Storage Solutions Parallel Hard Drive.
Upon installing (and executing) the software, it immediately recognized my device as a Quantum Fireball SE6.4A 6GB IDE Hard Drive.
I then used the included utility program (SwissKnife 2.71), to connect it the my Win98SE system, it immediately recognize my drive.
