Mobile Disk EP 540

Newest Drivers I've found were for win95

Uses a power adapter and connectes to the printer port (parallel port? Don't remember.. never use it)

Having trouble getting access to this ancient HD. 20MB I think. If I remember correctly. Have tried old drivers to new drivers that I could find for it. No luck. The farthest I've gotten is hearing the HD spin, and on winME, my current OS, it recognized that something was there, but for some reason it thought it wasn't there but was. I don't really understand it. Have tried to find newer drivers for it, there aren't any. I guess ValueStor went out of business. I would just like to get my ancient files off of it onto my new HD. Thx for any help.

if all you wish to do is recover files, simply remove the drive from the unit and connect it to your current system as a second hard drive.

I have the original ValuStor disks, if you wish me to burn a CD and send it to you. Or I can attempt to make a copy of the disks - it's been a while since I used my A: Drive on the XP machine; but I can still access the old files on the floppies.
