internal IDE hard drives do not use or require drivers. please take the time to read the information/install directions posted on the drive makers web site about using large drives on older systems and instlation directions if this is your problem

Hard disks don't have drivers, not for any operating system. You might need a driver for the disk controller, but that's a whole other piece of hardware.
