Can get the device to work properly with the USB port, but not the Firewire port.

If you take a look at the Quick-Serv
Firewire Drivers Page (http://www.qs.com.tw/Page/download/driver_fw.asp)
, you'll see there are none for the pc... only for mac. If the device works on usb but not on firewire, that tells you 2 things.
#1: The device is ok (otherwise it would not work on usb)

#2: There is a firewire problem. either your firewire card is defective or not installed properly or there is a problem with the firewire cable or possibly a problem with the firewire connector or circuitry on the device.
and it wouldn't hurt to provide a description of your device in future requests...otherwise some wouldn't know that the PENR-525 is an "EXTERNAL DRIVE ENCLOSURE". You, like most folks, assume we can see over your shoulder... we can't.
