I recently purchased a DVD player which is also a complete computer, which the company calls "Thalia I e Digital Amusement Communicator",
version : T1 US/UK/AU

I went to install Office XP onto it, (I know- stupid, but I have used it before on other W98 computers with no hassles, and wasnt expecting this), which after rebooting came up with a myriad of errors, and wouldn't even start up in safe mode. I then tried re-installing Windows 98 over the top, but after re-booting again there was a Myriad of errors and it just cannot start. So at the moment it is a great paper weight.
Can anyone help, maybe there is a product recovery CD somewhere or something. The PAC (Pan Asia Cable) web site is useless, their menus dont work and their email addresses get returned.
I'm not sure, but I think that it needs the software which brings up various menus to operate the player, which is sort of integrated into Windows itself. (I dont exactly know- its hard to explain)
