Hi... just got a deal on a Yamaha CRW4260tx for my old Power Macintosh 7200/120 with Macintosh 9.1 installed as the operatining system. I have the drive installed and terminated as the third in my SCSI chain behind my UMAX scanner and a ZIP drive. My Apple seems to recognize the drive in the system profiler but Toast 5.1.2 does not. I have the Firewire support, Toast CD Reader and even all the USB supports (a,b,c) in extensions. No Firewire or USB authoring to turn off to worry about. I've even tried turning off my Apple internal CD Rom read-only drive. Yet, Toast keeps saying "no recorder found." I've tried to download the firmware here at driverguide.com, but my Mac doesn't seem to be able to download it correctly as a sea. file or exe.file. and I'm not exactly sure where to put it anyway if I had it. Not even sure if that's the problem. Also, when I play cds on my Mac in the internal Apple installed drive, sometimes the cds vibrate unusually fast for this drive after hooking up the new CD burner and I also notice that when I play a track from the control strip, SCSI I.D. 3 is used to identify the internal drive AND the back of my Yamaha drive is also pre-set as SCSI I.D. 3 (not able to be changed as far as I can see.) Any help?
