Hello,
A friend of mine has a PC equipped with a Lucky Star Pentium II motherboard, model 6VABX2, Award BIOS and VIA chipset. After reformatting the HDD and installing Windows ME, we found that the CD-Rom, while detected in the BIOS, does not show in Windows. Found also that the Primary and Secondary BUS mastering are flagged and have an error code 10.
I have tried several options from VIA (4in1, recent and older), removed CHILD000 and CHILD001 from the registry and reboot the PC, to no avail. And, since the Lucky Star web site is impossible to reach (???), I could not find any additional info that could help me solve this problem.
Does anyone have an idea as how I can solve this (without bying a new PC or upgrading this one...) ?
Thanks in advance
