Hi,
As a University student, oral presentations are a must in evey activity. When I try to record something threw my microphone, I receive a messge saying that file "sndvol32.exe" can't be found or that it's missing. I have a Wndows Me, 64 MB Memory, 40.0GB Hard Drive, 56k Modem Compaq. I just would like to know if there's any site where I can retrieve this file and download it to my computer or if there's anything else I can do to solve this problem that affects all my recordings. I'll really apreciate it alot!
Thanks.

try looking at the driver you have loaded for your soundcard ie a updated driver that supports your hardware might fix the problem also look in contol panel, device manager for problem device ! it might work but if not its a good way to start. driverguide has all the drivers you might need. also 64 MB of memory is a bit low try to upgrade this as sound cards are very memory hungry, hope this helps, dave

Just checked WinME, the file is NOT supplied. This is a 32-bit driver, and it should have been supplied on CD with your sound card. You SHOULD be able to get it at the Microsoft updates site. If not, the manufacturer of the sound card should have it in their downloads section.
Also, 64 is MB is mighty low for running WinME. I'd suggest getting another 64 MB in there, or geting a newer system.
Have you search your hard driver for the file (sndvol32.exe) using the menu Start/Find/Files or Folder? If you do find it, try copying it back to your Windows directory to see if it will work again.
