I think I need a (combination of?) drivers to use a ASPI cdrom drive (LTN-301) on a Promise Ultra133/TX2 (PDC20269) PCI IDE controller in a DOS environment.

(bios 2.20.0.15)
For ASPI support in DOS only "a device driver from the manufacturer is needed" does Promise's website say.
The drive is detected on the controller and I can boot a CD from it in this configuration, but generic ASPI drivers for DOS don't find it.

(It works in a Win2k environment with v2.0.0.42 drivers)

Sigh.....FAILURE TO READ, provided directions!!!

both you motherboard manual (if onboard) or card manual plainly states.....NO CDROM SUPPORT
next time READ included directions,...or if missing, visit mfgr or chip maker site and READ AVAILABLE INFORMATION
