Anyone know where I can get a recovery disk for a Compaq Presario 5151, running ME?
yep all you need to do is go by a windows me disk full version not upgrade and use it to restore your system

and if the Compaq Presario pc has hardware onboard that is not supported by Microsoft and included with Windows ME whats the member to do then?

And what about all the other supporting software that is normally included on the Compaq restore disks???? Will Microsoft also have that on the Windows ME installation disk?

Like Jerry K. says, better know what drivers your going to need before reinstalling a clean system! It can be a real severe head banger if you dont know what chipset, graphics drivers, modem drivers, lan drivers, sound drivers, ect! So, what or who made your system?

Compaq will send you restore disks, small shipping charge, and or complete recovery disks.

Compaq often has complete restore images "hidden" on a d drive partition that the restore disk uses. If you have deleted or damaged the files order the complete set.
