i have a speed off ~730Kb/s is that a slow connection?
i use now the protocol TCP/IP
I have on the server WINXP sp1
and on my laptop i have a PCMCIA card UNEX MD011 10/100Mbit
also 100BaseTx.
and the protocol TCP/IP.
i have try'd the netBEUI protocol on both pc's no succes.
What can i do to speedup the process.

Sounds to me that you have a damaged cable or cable ends and need to renew.
