I install the modem in WinXP. The problem is that when I try to connect through my dial up connection I receive an error message that "the modem can not start". I check to make a call through the dialer and everything goes well. I make the test also with a new dial up connection.
In the device manager everything seems to be correct.
Could you please anyone have an idea why this happened? it is important to solve the problem today so please reply as soon as possible!!

at the first you should delete the modem driver from the device maneger
and select refresh botton from the dialog box (divice maneger) or restart your computer .this is one step
second : the computer ask you for if you have identify file for your modem on CD ( sure you don.t have) or if you like to search(in your computer) for the new driver for your modem it self , let the computer search on it .
in most cases the computer can,t find the update driver for modem in xp system
in this case back again and select the ( private disk ) option from the (new hardware detect dialog box -in control banel- and try to find the file (on your computer) that identify the update modem drive for
xp system ,this file you don,t have it on your computer, for this reason you shoud get it from the internet ..
how can I do that !
you can get it from the site ( www.driverguide.com ) but you dot have internet link!!
if you like i can send the target file fast(drive update for motorola sm56 pci speeakerphone for xp system ) to your e-mail if you send to me your e-mail adress ( you can get it from any computer linked to the net from your e-mail to afloppy disk )
in this case after you have the new driver you can select (private disk ) option from the (new hardware detect dialog box -in control banel- and go to floppy disk where is our file)
reply to me on beejay@intra-sy.net to send to you the file you want with instructions to identify your modem for your new xp system .
