Can anyone help me? I recently procured a 433mhz computer and found that it was really slow due to the mess the last guy had made of it. Anyway, I formatted the hard drive and reloaded windows me on it. I now am finding that the video card, sound card, and modem are all basically just chips on the motherboard and as such, windows is not recognizing them.

I now have 16 colors like back in the '80s and no modem. I have downloaded drivers for the modem twice, but the executables are messed up when I unzip them with winzip. They come up as .ex_ and I can't install the modem. When I go to control panel and try to install a new modem, pctel isn't one of the options and I can't get the driver I have downloaded to work with a "standard" modem.

I need help on this one.
