I have configured two drives one is "c" and one is "D" they both show up both can be scanned c is a fat16 and the slave on d is fat32 both are seagate drives (older). I wanted to be able to use as one bigger drive but cant get install programs to go to "d". Am afraid to change FAT16 to 32 in drive coversion as i am a case of of a little knowledge etc. Is it possible to make both drives "c"? What is an extended partition as opposed to a DOS partition fixed? Help. Oh on seagate c drive have jumper as cable select as this seems to work and other is slave.

no you cannot make both drive as 'c' ... not logical to the computer
find a third party program like 'partion magic' to chang FAT16 to FAT32
or vice versa
