If you are using Linux it is possible to configure the monitor manually.
You can do it so under Windows with some graphical drivers and software.
I could take it to 1680x1050 with 32 bits color at 58 hz (there is no miracles); and actually is the monitor i prefer to use in my home (19" 1280x1024 at 70 or 72hz, whatever)

The specs:
14" size
13" viewable (my linux report 12")
.28 mm dot pitch
Phosphor - Medium Short [do not use it for longs periods (use large fonts to be a bit distante from the monitor; and if possible buy a transition lens for your glasses with reflexion protection); it is a lamp and as god said: "you can not look to the sun or your eyes will burn"; then laugth (just joking).

Now the important:
Horizontal: 9.72" (247 mm); 30 - 65 Khz
Vertical: 7.28" (185 mm); 55 - 90 Hz

it also suport suspend, standby and off, power savings modes; but it is not EPA or VESA power savings compatible.
Standby/Suspend <15 watts; 3 s. for recovery
off <5 watts; 15 s. for recovery

i hope had been helful with the data.
(Sorry my english)
