I receive the following message at start up: I/O Monitor Initialize Error Missing Filter 32.VxD virtual device driver. I'm only a beginner with computers so, I'm lost...can someone help?

I've got the same message and my cd rom wont work!!!

I cannot even put the 98 start up disc in as it won't play as I think that would solve the problem. I have been sat here for hours looking through all these different drivers and it is confusing if you do not know what you are looking for.

do the BIOS see the cd-rom drive when the computer starts up?
can you boot from the win 98 install cd-rom, you may have too reinstall win 98 again, send some imfomations about your computer, model, and so on too me at jack.mejdal@orangenet.dk
