I'm looking for the installation software and drivers for the hp cd-writer plus internal 8200i drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated as HP is charging $10 for the disc!

You don't need any HP installation disk (unless you want to pay the 10.00). Windows 98 will provide native support that allows this drive to read a data or music disk and any compatible recording software (ie: Nero or Easy Cd Creator) will provide the burning support.
