Award Plug and Play BIOS Extension V1.0A

I am having problems with my Keyboard and Mouse freezing up on me, the Keyboard is a Keytronic and Mouse is Microsoft wheel, Maybe the problem is something else?? Would anyone have had the same problem has I have, even during Booting of PC the it makes a noise like it's looking for the the keyboard and mouse and lights on keyboard do not come on sometime I have to reboot 4 or 5 time..

Any help would be appretiated...
