I recently bought an Asound ExpressII PCI soundcard purely to plug my joystick into as I have recently upgraded my motherboard(which has no standard gameport). In device manager I keep getting the message that there are not enough resources available to run the crystal soundfusion cs4281 soundcard gameport and error code 12. I have a Microsoft force feedback joystick connected to it and at the joystick calibration page it keeps coming up with "not connected" and "ok"and back again, then asks me to ensure that it is plugged in. I have downloaded and installed the WDM audio driver but to no avail. I have also tried disabling other devices, still no joy. I am running W2k Pro on a Gigabyte GA-7N400-L motherboard and AMD Athlon 2600XP processor. Any suggestions?

If your new sound card with the gameport is better than your current sound card ,I would try to remove your other sound card instead of disabling it (unless it's integrated sound in which you can't). Therefore your computer will only detect the one with the gameport and there should be no "conflicting devices" or "not enough resources". Remember to constantly restart your computer for the changes to be applied. Also make sure your joystick drivers are installed and your new sound card drivers are installed. I hope this helps I kind of have a similar problem.
