USB connected optical drives do not require any driver. If you have a working USB port, the system will automatically detect and install the drive during bootup (or when it's plugged into the usb port) immediately within 4-5 seconds without user intervention. If it doesn't then you either have a non-working usb port, bad cable, or defective drive.

hi jerry i also need this driver and nothing is wrong w/my puter or usb ports etc. this external cd rom device came w/a cd to install dos driver but i do not have a working internal cd rom to run the cd to get the install program i am sure craig wellman must have the same or similar prob thats why we bought the extrnal device. can you help please gramma jackie
