I have duplicates of The PCI Standard PCI to PCI Bridge. If I delete the duplicate that doesn't have the Exclamation point on it, my AGP Video card works but, my network card which is PCI does not. I have a Hercules Prophet 4500XT video card and an ASUS A7N266-C Motherboard. The ACPI Management of Windows 2000 prevents me from changing the resource settings for these devices. What can I do?

boot in safe mode and REMOVE the devices from the control Hardware devices.

swap cards in the pci slots and disable unused items such as unneeded com ports. in the bios.

boot and allow windows to redetect hardware (let it load std vga driver if it finds it)

confirm no conflicts then reload video driver.

if still problems remove all cards but video and make sure that ACPI is enabled and PNP is enabled in bios.

boot and note used IRQ's. shutdown and insert nic (or enable it in bios)

again note irq's.

irq's are assigned to each slot and slots closest to the cpu usually have the higher IRQ assigned to it.

Note: that several slots can share irq's also.
