Someone please help me. I just reformat my computer and I don't know what else to do cause all I know is to reformat the computer and I have DSL with Verizon but before I can install that again. I am always getting the prompt for, PCI ETHERNET CONTROLLER is needed and I have been pulling my hair out since this early morning trying to fix my computer. Can someone please please help me...

Also another question. I do need that PCI ETHERNET CONTROLLER for me to install my DSL moderm right.. I dont know guys I am lost. HELP HELP HELP

It sounds like your computer is looking for the driver to control your NIC (ethernet card.) What version of windows are you using and how old is the computer? Also some DSL modems have a USB port on the back,if both your computer AND your modem have a free USB then you can go into the device manager in windows and disable your NIC (click on it > properties > check "disable in this profile." Then you will need a USB A to B cable, ($6-10 at the computer store) and you can use your CD that came with the modem to set up a USB- DSL connection. After that you should be back online.
